Its yet another jewel in Lokua's interdisciplinary electro kingpin crown. Highlights include the "Coupe De Ville Reprise" which clocks in at 1:05 & leaves the listener longing for more after offering only a quick glimpse of how hot the sauce can get. Other standouts include "A Thousand Pages", "Burning Money", "Grasshopper", & "Trails". These songs sound like something method man or one of your other favorite rappers in the mid 90's wishes they would have had been fortunate enough to get their hands on before they all got bitten by the acting bug. The most interesting tracks are the ethereal head-nodder "Y.E.A.", the uniquely catchy "Bub Sag", & my personal favorite the uncompromising thumping heat of "Thanks Raining". Each song on Trails holds its own & gives insight into the eloquence of Lokua's style & range. Trails is one of the best netlabel albums of the year...definitely a must have for fans of good electronic music.
